As a Business Analyst in this position, you will provide administrative and analytical support to our department of 30+ writers, editors, communicators, web developers, graphic designers, regional economists, project managers, and others who contribute to our mission.
The Public Affairs department at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis works to maintain the Bank's reputation, strengthen trust, and improve understanding of the Bank's and the Federal Reserve System's mission, functions, resources, and services with both internal and external audiences.
Our department is responsible for managing the Banks external and internal websites, social media channels, and government and media relations; gathering and disseminating economic intelligence about our region; welcoming the public to our facility through our tour program; reaching out to the community through virtual and in-person events such as the Minnesota State Fair; and educating Bank employees via the employee Ambassador program.
An essential function of this position is working onsite. While this position qualifies for a hybrid working arrangement, employees are required to be onsite at least 3 days a week.
This position is posted at two levels: Business Analyst I or II. The selected candidate will be based on the qualifications of the candidate pool and the needs of the team. To be considered at either level, an applicant must meet the qualifications listed below.
Responsibilities:
Handle all procurement and contracting responsibilities for the department, including serving as the p-card holder for the department, compiling and submitting event packets for all events, and managing the accruals process. Work closely with departments Managing Officer and FMG to track the departments budget and forecast.
Provide all necessary administrative support for department initiatives, including staffing on-site and off-site events.
Serve as departments Information Security Liaison, completing security reviews and submitting new requests.
Own and manage all records retention processes.
Maintain and update departments business continuity and contingency plans.
Onboard and offboard employees to the department, arranging for all necessary access.
Manage the Banks online Brand Store from which employees order branded merchandise.
Administer the Banks Outreach Calendar to track Bank-wide outreach activities via SharePoint.
Run reporting from the Banks learning management system, FedLearn.
Maintain and update information in the Banks CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics.
Other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications at BA I and BA II levels:
Experience in basic procurement, accounting, and budgeting.
Experience with SharePoint Online, Ariba, Microsoft Dynamics, FedLearn and/or similar software is preferable.
High level of attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to follow through.
Positive, can-do attitude. Willingness to ask questions to understand.
Qualifications for a Business Analyst I:
Masters degree OR
Bachelors degree and one (1) year of directly related work experience OR
Associate degree and three (3) years of directly related work experience OR
High school diploma and five (5) years of directly related work experience
Qualifications for a Business Analyst II:
Masters degree and one (1) year of directly related work experience OR
Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of directly related work experience OR
Associate degree and five (5) years of directly related work experience OR
HS diploma or GED and seven (7) years of directly related work experience
