Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Work with outside marketing firms to develop, initiate, and implement bank marketing plan.

  • Responsible for the development, implementation and performance of all bank marketing and advertising programs to include graphic design on all pieces.

  • Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of the banks marketing strategies, marketing communications, and public relations activities, both external and internal.

  • Manages the development and implementation of support materials in the area of marketing, communications, and public relations.

  • Negotiate, purchase, and schedule media buys for all advertising spots on all media channels and ensures regular contact with target media channels.

  • Responsible for the strategic development of effective market positioning and integration of consistent messages and images to support that positioning throughout the bank in all advertising, relationship building activities and other marketing programs.

  • Provide input on bank sponsored activities, community events, and internal events to coincide with current bank marketing campaigns.

  • Provide input on all donations and sponsorships to coincide with current bank marketing campaigns.

  • Effectively manage marketing budget.

  • Provide input on for editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all banks publications.

  • Provide input on the appearance of the banks print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, etc.

  • Oversee the development, monitoring, implementation and administration of external website.

  • Responsible for social media presence and direct programs to improve social media reputation and recognition.

  • Work with Community Relationship Director and the Connections software to include:
    • Help plan, execute and follow up on customer retention campaigns

    • Creation and disbursement of various reports to show systems effectiveness

    • Use Connections data to drive the banks current marketing campaigns

  • Work with Bank Rewards program to include:
    • Monitoring of program results

    • Developing and launching Bank Reward campaigns

  • Update all marketing materials to reflect current brand, compliance standards, and product information.

  • Manage all social media and digital channel advertising.

  • Develops short and long range marketing objectives.

  • Perform all job duties and maintain compliance with all banking acts, laws and regulations applicable to your job function.


Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities



  • Back up and support the Community Relationship Director

  • Back up and support the Social Media Specialist

  • Back up and support the Marketing Specialist

  • Back up and support the Media Specialist outside of media design

  • Back up and support Graphic Design Specialist outside of graphic design




Qualifications Required



(Required education may be satisfied by experience and/or working knowledge)



A Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field, three years marketing experience, three years management experience to include managing a budget and an intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Products to include Word and Excel.





Physical Requirements and Working Conditions



Sitting for extended periods of time, requires close visual acuity and the ability to work and operate computer applications and equipment including copy machine, telephone, scanner or other basic business equipment. Travel is required for branch/department visitations and events. The job is within the normal office environment range but does require work outside the office for Marketing events.



Qualifications Preferred



Three years managing a marketing department in the banking environment, three years experience using marketing data to drive marketing results.





Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required



Requirements stated here are minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities to qualify for this position. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position successfully, the employee must possess the abilities and aptitudes to perform each task proficiently. Ability means to possess and apply both knowledge and skill.



Knowledge



  • Knowledge of marketing principles and the use of a variety of delivery methods.

  • Knowledge of the banks products and services.

  • Knowledge of Connections software to include the administrative tasks such as development and implementation of the software.


Skills



  • Manage and administer all marketing campaigns for the bank and measure effectiveness of those campaigns.

  • Effectively manage the Marketing Department budget.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent presentation skills for presentations to staff and the board.

  • Work proactively and independently, showing initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Proven strong organizational skills.


Abilities



  • The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, specifically to the variety of responsibility in the Marketing Department.

  • The ability to prioritize and manage the workflow of others.


Experience


Required

  • 3 year(s): Three years of marketing experience.
