Duties and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Lead and coordinate the team effort to ensure Mortgage and Consumer loans process on the mainframe system as directed by the note, and in accordance with service level and stakeholder expectations. The position includes the responsibility of any ancillary systems needed to service the loan. Lead by example in providing excellent client service and support to the Premier Bank clients, bank personnel, auditors and other stakeholders while living the Premier Bank core values.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the Loan Servicing Teams effort to provide exceptional customer service to all Internal and External customers of the bank using the banks OWN IT core values.
- Advanced data entry processing, understanding how some fields in various applications affect changes made to avoid errors that would affect customer relations.
- Consistently demonstrates initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Possess a robust knowledge of Premier Banks policies and procedures, services, and applications. Demonstrates an ability to apply knowledge to make difficult decisions by using solid decision-making techniques.
- Has a superior knowledge of all areas in the department, and uses that knowledge to lead a continuous process improvement culture, and takes a lead role in tracking and reporting key performance metrics to measure the teams results compare to service level goals.
- Responsible for completion of time sensitive job duties throughout the department.
- Makes well thought out and researched suggestions to improve efficiencies within the department.
- Implement and convey office procedures that maintain the integrity of the core operating system information, processing and compliance with bank regulations.
- Ensures that department policies and procedures are kept up-to-date.
- Completes more complex department self-assessments and reports
- Participates in department or bank related projects, may be asked to take on a leadership role for the various initiatives.
- Performs maintenance and monetary transactions as needed
- Provides research services including identifying issues that may have a large impact; communicating issues identified to the Assistant Manager so a more complex review can be completed as well as providing viable recommendations.
- Provide support and/or take a lead role in coaching and training the bank and team members as needed.
- Assist in the process during audits, exams and mergers.
- Subject matter expert with many of the departments more complex procedures and functions such as Modifications, Short Sales, foreclosures, consumer complaints, participations, escrow analysis, escrow disbursements, PMI, flood, 1098 reporting, general ledger balancing and other servicing related functions.
- Complete and/or schedule daily/weekly/monthly rotational items as assigned.
- Provide accurate and reliable information regarding customers activity and maintaining a high level of privacy (subpoenas).
- Assist in testing for new releases in the Core System, and learn how to leverage the core system Bank Control module to setup and/or maintain products, fees, and services to operate in accordance with the bank and business line strategies.
- Provides timely and accurate responses on more complex research services as needed including meeting deadlines for subpoena requests.
- Service customer calls regarding retail loan questions/research requests.
- Administer the servicing of special Link Loan programs, SBA loans and participation loans with participating banks.
- Takes proactive role in identifying process improvements and working with core system provider to resolve system errors or related issues.
- Subject matter expert with many of the departments more complex procedures and functions dealing with SBA loans, link loans, flood tracking, collateral releases and tracking on Credit Quest.
- Correctly completes check back of new notes, and leads the effort in ensuring that all compliance and regulatory duties are completed according to expectations.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Education, Certification, License and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 5 + years banking or related experience. Knowledgeable on PCs; understanding of network; proficient on the banks mainframe system; good communication skills; good time management skills.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Understanding of Banks policies and procedures; Understanding of applicable regulations and laws; Excellent knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the assigned fields.
- Must have understanding of the network, skilled knowledge of loan types, products, the core banking system and excellent customer service skills. Knowledgeable on PCs, Excel, and Word needed.
- Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos; Ability to write simple correspondence; Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent organization and planning skills. Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and efficiently.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity. Ability to drive a vehicle for travel is required for the position.
