Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Principal Systems Engineer/** **Sr. Principal Systems Engineer** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in **Palmdale, CA.**

Systems Engineer R&V Requirement Owner will be responsible for coordination and collaboration with diverse engineering design teams to provide imaginative, technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems in establishing and managing the technical baseline in support of review milestones. The candidate will be executing tasks in system requirements development/management and system verification. The position requires systems thinking and working knowledge of the full development life-cycle processes that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Candidate must exhibit strong leadership characteristics in coordinating with multiple teams and managing tasks.

**Requirements and Verification Systems Engineer will also:**

+ Coordinate verification plans among various IPTs.
+ Utilize Unmanned Aerial ISR systems UML & requirements development tools. (DOORS, Magic Draw & Cameo)
+ Support SEI design team developing use cases and associated UML artifacts for new capabilities.
+ Provide analysis and engineering support to new business development and proposal activities.

**Basic Qualifications (Principal Systems Engineer):**

+ Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 5 years of experience in engineering; or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 3 years of experience in engineering; or a PhD in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 1 years of experience in engineering
+ An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain program access prior to starting.
+ Experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
+ Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, and requirements verification.

**Basic Qualifications (Senior Principal Systems Engineer):**

+ Bachelors Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 9 years of experience in engineering; or a Master's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics discipline from an accredited university with 7 years of experience in engineering.
+ An active in-scope DoD Top Secret clearance and the ability to obtain program access prior to starting.
+ Experience supporting Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
+ Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering, including requirements decomposition, test planning, and requirements verification.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Prefer Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Engineering Physics
+ Masters Degree
+ Experience working on military aircraft / spacecraft systems
+ Experience in developing, managing, and decomposing requirements
+ Experience in system architecture, CONOPs, or model based system engineering
+ Experience in ICD development and integration
+ Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
+ Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
+ MBSE and Agile Systems Engineering Experience.
+ Experience with DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA.

Salary Range: $125,800.00 - $188,600.00Salary Range 2: $0.00 - $0.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
