Title: Accountant

Team: Finance

Status: Exempt

Gray Solutions is hiring an Accountant for our growing Finance team. The Accountant will support various aspects of finance and accounting for the organization. This position will report to Manager, Corporate Finance and requires general accounting responsibilities including journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, and accruals. The Accountant will assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes ensuring transactions are in accordance with GAAP as well as internal policies and procedures. They will analyze and interpret accounting information to find trends impacting the effectiveness of the operations of the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Reconcile GL accounts and bank statements
  • Analyze and forecast budgeted expense vs. cost
  • Manages fixed asset accounting and record keeping, including transactional and depreciation entries
  • Provides accounting support for payroll transactions and assists with state withholding requirements
  • Assist with financial statement preparation
  • Record Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, 1099-Misc reporting
  • Communicate financial concerns to the management team

Skills & Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 1 year related experience in the public or private sector of accounting or equivalent internships in Accounting
  • Advanced Excel knowledge using Pivot Tables
  • Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint ERP system experience preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Multi-tasker with an excellent focus on accuracy
  • Take initiative, and work efficiently to meet deadlines
  • Louis, MO or Lexington, KY preferred
