The Program Accountant provides accounting supporting to our North Florida Business operations and will be based in ourLake City, Florida office. The Program Accountant plays a proactive role in ensuring that budgets, goals, and deadlines are met by monitoring progress and keeping manager well informed with up-to-date reports, graphs, and other decision-making tools. This position is based in Lake City, FL and reports to our Senior Project Manager.

How will you contribute to the team?

  • Compiling data and the preparation preliminary budgets and monthly project reports and trackers

  • Coordinating staff activities within organization unit

  • Creates Task Work Orders

  • Performs special assignments for the DOT North Florida Business Unit

  • Creating charts and graphs based on financial reports

  • Assisting in the development of presentations to clients or upper management.

What will you contribute?

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • Experience is a plus

  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel User skills

  • Excellent skills with spreadsheets

  • Knowledge of the consulting engineering industry and Florida Department of Transportation is helpful

  • Ability to work under pressure and work as required to deliver before deadlines

  • Ability to supervise staff effectively

  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and in conversations
