Description of Job

Lease Accountant I is responsible for operational data integrity for Lease Accounting functions related to leased venues reimbursement of room charges and comps, billing of utilities and facility charges, conducting weekly collection processes, managing tenant relationships, assisting with reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparing ad-hoc reports as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Educational Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.

1 + years of accounting experience

Work Environment

Qualifications

  • Experience of GAAP and accrual-based accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Knowledge of Oracle & MRI a plus, but not required
  • Excellent judgment with ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Organized and detailed oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Self-starter and can work independently
  • Team player and ability to collaborate with others
  • Must be comfortable with answering and placing phone calls to tenants regarding past due balances.
  • Ability to remain calm and have patience under pressure
